Testimonials

My wellbeing was impacted upon by complete burnout from the pressure/challenges of my job.
Through my employer, I had access to 1to1 wellbeing support from Gerry.  This support has been invaluable and I feel there’s not enough words to describe how this has made a difference to my overall health and wellbeing, and to my ability to live and work well.
I felt heard, listened to, respected and validated and Gerry was always kind and considerate.  Gerry was able to take health and wellbeing related actions forward on my behalf, which lifted the sense of burden from me.
Without this support, I don’t think I would have been able to make as much progress as I did.
Gerry had continued to support me through my return to work, which was amazing.  Without this space and time to look after myself, I may have left or not returned to my job.

Clinical Co-ordinator

Gerry’s support has been invaluable. He is engaging and knowledgeable and at a time when staff wellbeing is a high priority for all within the social care sector he has offered both tangible support to both individuals and teams when issues arise and has also provided valuable guidance for services on how they can develop a sustainable model of workplace wellbeing in the longer term. Services I support have valued his input and the positive impact on staff wellbeing which is more vital than ever in a context of increasing recruitment and retention pressures

Lynsey Allan

Independent Sector Lead, Scottish Care

Our team had a fantastic wellbeing development day. We really enjoyed the 3 different wellbeing sessions, and it was great to have the opportunity to try a variety of wellbeing approaches. The venue and the food were fantastic too!

Deirdre Stuart

Social Work Team Manager, East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership

Like everything new it’s a work in progress but you have done an amazing job so far in consulting and sourcing so many different types of wellbeing support for a large and varied workforce, so thanks from me, I feel more visible and supported!

Community Nursery Nurse

I attended the menopause session this lunchtime. I found it really informative and was a really good starting point. Menopause experts were very thorough and I would be interested in further sessions. 3 women have gone on to their GP as a result of attending the session.

Development officer

Firstly I cannot express enough how much I am enjoying the Yoga Class.  The instuctor is an amazing teacher and during the few weeks I have attended the class I have noticed that my balance has improved, my coordination and flexibility is improving and I have noticed a difference in my core strength. I wish others would join in as it’s a great way to start your day.

I have also been attending the 30 min outdoor exercises at lunch time. I have thoroughly enjoyed the class so far and would recommend it to anyone thinking about joining in.

Three of my colleagues and I had the pleasure of attending the massage therapy session. All had very positive feedback and found the experience extremely relaxing.

The lunch time walk has a core group who attend regularly, I enjoy having the opportunity to chat to other staff from different disciplines, I will continue to join in the walk as much as I can.

Business Support Assistant

I attended the online Sleep Health Talk. I found it really interesting – really gets you thinking about how and why good sleep matters so much!

My massage was brilliant and Lucie worked on the problems with my back I spoke to you about. This is a fantastic service and I didn’t realise just how much discomfort I was in until I started having the massages.

Just would like to add the Tia Chi teacher is excellent. The class is a lovely way to unwind from the stresses of the daily working life and the instructor kindly and enthusiastically shares their understanding and knowledge gained from many years of practice with great Tia Chi Masters openly with us and introduces us to exercises we can incorporate into our day if feeling stressed or energetically unbalanced, hopefully improving our inner resilience and health and wellbeing.

Community Occupational Therapist

The regular Tai Chi evening sessions are pivotal to my wellbeing AND of those around me (family and colleagues alike).

Community Nurse

I took the opportunity during my lunch to access the offer of a massage yesterday.

Can I say this was the best hour – the massage, venue and the therapist were outstanding, tailoring their input to what was important to me.

I slept well last night, awoke bright and early and in terms of work performance today – had the best day achieving much more than I would without the pain/back/hip pain I normally have.

Head of Service, East Renfrewshire HSCP

I was telling my manager at my back to work meeting how the reiki and massage session has really helped me.

The LD Transitions Team held a joint development session in a fantastic venue that set the scene for wellbeing. This was an opportunity for the teams to come together and take stock of progress made over the past 12 months, and to practice some self care.

Gerry arranged on online wellbeing session to kick the day off, and then the team were given an overview of the wider wellbeing offers.

Lunch was outside thanks to the beautiful unseasonal weather.

The afternoon started with a session focusing on energising and having lots of fun.

The day was rounded off with a yoga session delivered by Purple Dove relaxations…..perfect.
